The Veronicas' Revenge Is Sweeter Tour
The Veronicas are easily my favourite band to shoot - spunky, sassy and talented, you really can't ask for more from a live performance. I was lucky enough to shoot a few of the shows on their last tour. These are some of my favourite shots from that tour. -
Sound Relief at the MCG
Sound Relief at the MCG was staged to raise funds for those affected by the Victorian bushfires in 2009. A stunning cast of performers including Midnight Oil, Kings of Leon, Split Enz, Bliss N Eso, Kylie Minogue and Crowded House came together for this history-making event. -
Bliss N Eso battle it out at Festival Hall
Sydney hip hop trio Bliss N Eso have had a wild ride. From international tours, to record breaking tours, to playing before 80 000 punters at Sound Relief, to #1 records, these boys have done it all. Here are a few explosive photos from their two-night-stand at Festival Hall in Melbourne. -
Kings of Leon at Rod Laver Arena
One of the craziest tours I've ever worked on was Kings of Leon's first arena tour of Australia. The tour was announced at the height of their popularity - Sex on Fire and Use Somebody were unavoidable at the time - and the shows didn't disappoint, delivering some of the loudest audiences I've ever heard. -
Rise Against at Festival Hall
Working at Frontier Touring provided a number of perks, my favourite being the chance to shoot bands with greater access than the average photographer. Rise Against is one band that gave me that opportunity, allowing me to shoot their entire set. With stunning lighting and an energetic stage show, this was a dream come true. -
P!nk's Funhouse
P!nk is universally loved by Australians, proven by the history-making 58 shows she performed here as part of her Funhouse tour. She's always a pleasure to shoot, knowing exactly how to play up for the cameras. Here are a few photos from that tour. -
The Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition video shoot
In mid-2008 I was invited into the boardroom at Mushroom to listen to a few new tracks a local band had been working on. The band was The Temper Trap and one of those songs was 'Sweet Disposition' - a track that became inescapable across the world through 2009 & 2010. A few months after the listening session I found myself at 2am on a Saturday in a shed at Docklands, watching The Temper Trap shoot their first video for the track (two further videos were shot in 2009 and 2010). -
2011 AIR Awards
After an almost year-long hiatus from shooting due to a broken arm, I jumped in the deep end, opting to shoot the 2011 AIR Awards for NovaFM.com.au. From backstage interviews to performances to presentations, I was able to capture a little of everything. -
Bits & Pieces
A handful of photographs I've taken at some of Australia's largest events including Sound Relief, Good Vibrations and V Festival. Artists captured include Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, The Temper Trap and The Kills. -
Panic! At The Disco at Rod Laver Arena
Panic! At The Disco's flirtation with flower power and The Beatles may have cost them some fans (and half of the band), but it helped showcase just how talented these four young men are. They toured Australia off the back of their polarising second album, Pretty. Odd., and I was lucky enough to be there to capture a few images at their Melbourne show.
