Florence Welch, and her band Florence + the Machine, is a well loved fixture of the music industry and she proved when she dropped by the Nova 100 studio to chat with Meshel, Tim and Marty.

In this video she chats about her fashion evolution, all the way from tomboy to couture-wearing goddess.

They came, they saw and they conquered, leaving thousands of crying girls in their wake.

One Direction are shamelessly manufactured (they're a Simon Cowell brainchild, via The X Factor) and - 'What Makes You Beautiful' aside - their music is pretty average, but the kids are going crazy for it.

On Friday Kate Langbroek put the question to Dale 'Daisy' Thomas (well, she compared Bucks to Silas, the albino monk in The Da Vinci Code) and her phrasing of the question left it open to interpretation. Daisy seized the opportunity and hit it for six.

Taylor Swift's Fearless tour helped the 22 year old become the biggest earner in music in 2011, beating out U2 and Lady Gaga for the honor. In 2012 she brought the tour to Australia and showed us why she's dominating music right now.

She's an artist I've wanted to photograph ever since her first Australian tour (back in 2009). I was devastated when she was announced for Sydney's Sound Relief event and not Melbourne's, but finally (three years later!!) I had a chance to photograph Taylor.

Eight-year-old Juliet's first hardcore song

Juliet, 8, from Brisbane released 'My First Hardcore Song' earlier tonight, and in less than a minute she's forced Sophia Grace and Rosie back into the shadows.

The song and video - a school holiday project - sees Juliet showcasing attitude and angst that would put a seasoned professional to shame, proving she has the genre downpat.

I'm predicting a performance on Ellen by the end of the month.

From the vault: backstage at Taste of Chaos

This was the first video I ever filmed, way back in 2007. I'd been flown to Perth to live blog the opening night of the Taste of Chaos tour (the content was housed on, and promoted by, MySpace). The day was frantic as I attempted to shoot and edit videos and photos alongside writing blog entries and updating social media as the night went on.

Part of the night's content included a backstage tour with Jepha from The Used which saw him introduce us to a number of friends the band takes on tour -- including George Bush, Marilyn Monroe and Superman. The video, which was uploaded to MySpace within minutes of being shot, was a success, amassing over three million views.
